What it costs.
Your OPCO pays for the training, the government helps in the first year, you pay the salary.

Legal minimum salary, excluding employer contributions. Aid: 2026 rates, announced to continue in 2027.
How it’s calculated
Government aid for the first year, company with fewer than 250 employees, in euros: 4500 for a BTS, 2000 for a Bac+3/4 title. From 250 employees, and with apprentices making up 5% of the workforce: 1500 and 750. Decree no. 2026-168; we will confirm the 2027 amount as soon as the decree is published. Fixed contribution for a Bac+3/4 title, set by law, in euros: 750. From age 21, the minimum in your collective agreement applies if it is higher. Gross monthly SMIC, in euros: 1,867.02.

What if we’re not ready in September?
Your apprentice can start classes without a contract and join you within three months. The amount of aid depends on the contract start date.
How old can the apprentice be?
From 16 to 29 inclusive at the start of the contract, up to 35 in some cases, with no age limit for a worker with a disability.
Will the aid be the same in 2027?
The rates shown are for 2026. They have been announced to continue in 2027, but the decree has not been published yet: we will confirm the amount as soon as it is.
Do they count towards our headcount?
No, except when calculating workplace accident insurance rates.
